The IMAREX Group operates market places for commodities and their derivatives, conducts clearing and settlement of transactions, provides market analysis and other related activities through the six business segments shown in the diagram below. The company’s shares are listed on Oslo Børs under the ticker IMAREX.
The Group’s clearing house, NOS Clearing ASA and two exchanges, International Maritime Exchange ASA and Fish Pool ASA are all licensed by the Norwegian Ministry of Finance and regulated by The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway. The Group’s multilateral trading facility is operated in a Spectron subsidiary and regulated by the UK Financial Services Authority. The wholly owned subsidiary Spectron Energy Services AS is headquartered in Stavanger and regulated by The Financial Supervisory Authority of Norway. IMAREX Energy AS and NOS Direct AS will be merged into International Maritime Exchange ASA. IMAREX’ subsidiaries assist international commodity traders to research, execute, clear and settle their commodity transactions. The global commodity derivatives markets are experiencing significant growth, especially within shipping and energy products. The products and services offered include screen trading, execution services, education, clearing and award winning analysis of dry bulk and tanker freight, electric power, emissions, natural gas, oil products, coal, nuclear fuels, metals, weather and salmon. Across the group, customers include the world’s leading banks, oil majors, power generators, ship owners and hedge funds. The Group is headquartered in Oslo, and has subsidiaries in England, Singapore, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Norway and across the USA.
